How sustainable agriculture farming changes the environment and generate income

Have you ever imagined the ways you could save the environment while providing a safe space for mankind? That’s exactly what sustainable agriculture is all about! Aside from protecting the environment, it also helps humans to have a better peace of mind simply by the act of giving back to nature.

What is agriculture farming?

Agriculture is a broad term, but it can also be considered as another term for ‘farming’. When it comes to agriculture, it’s a process of re-creating the food web by rechanneling the energy of animal consumption and human planting.

In simpler terms, the cycle involves the Sun providing light to the plants which in turn cover the sunlight to sugars (which is considered food for the plants). Then, the herbivores would consume plants to survive while becoming the source of food for carnivores. Once the animals or plants die, it becomes decomposed, or bacteria breaks them down. Finally, the nutrients of the plants or animals which died would be returned back into the soil, which starts the whole entire process all over again.

However, bear in mind there are two different types of agriculture: conventional and sustainable.

Conventional agriculture is the process of changing the natural environment when farming.

Sustainable agriculture on the other hand uses ecological principles when farming, by using the science of the relationship between the environment and living organisms.

How does agriculture affect the environment?

Conventional agriculture involves the use of insecticides or pesticides which causes a negative impact to the environment. Besides that, the plants are at risk of diseases or soil erosion as the method doesn’t make use of the natural environment features. Besides that, the crops are non-renewable as it requires the entire process from scratch.

Sustainable agriculture on the other hand uses natural insect repellents such as citrosa instead of insecticides, which doesn’t harm the environment. Aside from that, it doesn’t require much effort from farmers as it is able to sustain itself because of how it uses nature. For example, the natural environment is able to protect itself from any crop diseases or soil erosion without the use of pesticides or insecticides which harms the environment.

Why is sustainable agriculture important?

Sustainable agriculture is regularly practiced to satisfy the needs of mankind by providing healthy food while protecting the environment thanks to the soil which is a non-renewable resource. Additionally, sustainable agriculture helps the community as well by offering less workload to farmers or workers compared to conventional agriculture which requires even more labor.

How can you generate income with agriculture?

Together with the combination of information technology, government cooperation, civil communication, agriculture & food, healthcare, new energy and ecological village, you could generate a stable business model while giving back to the Earth and mankind at the same time. With this business model, it would increase the rate of production with higher potential income.

With that being said, sustainable agriculture offers multiple benefits not just in terms of the environment and humankind, but also to build a sustainable business model to generate continuous income.
